Friendly Fruit Jam—a sweet way to build community!

Since 2012, Friendly House has made jam as a fundraiser for our programs. Every year raspberries are donated by the generous folks at Columbia Farms U-Pick and our blackberries are donated by our friends at Rowell Bros. Berry Farm. Volunteers of all ages pick the berries, and licensed adult volunteers process them and cook up jam in our Brentano building’s commercial kitchen. Sponsorship funds allow us to buy the supplies like jars, labels, pectin, and sugar, so all the sales proceeds go directly to supporting our programs.

Jam is available at Friendly House for $6 per jar or three jars for $15. It is also available for purchase at New Seasons Market (Slabtown location) and Food Front Cooperative Grocery at both locations. Friendly Thoughts

“I did not want to miss the chance to help out with jam making to benefit the Preschool. It was a very special place for my son, and I want future kids to have as much, if not more, at the Preschool.”
