Enrollment for 2026 Spring Break Camp is now open.
Our Spring Break Camp for kindergarten–5th graders includes engaging activities, fascinating adventures, and tons of fun and snacks, from 7:30am–6pm daily!
Enrollment Process
New Families
- From the program/session home page on fhpdx.org, follow the application link for the program/session that the family is applying for. Complete the application for the program/session.
- Applications will be reviewed in the order that they are received.
- Applications will be approved by a Friendly House Children’s Programs administrative staff member.
- Once an application is approved, a Children’s programs administrative staff member will assign any additional paperwork required for the program.
- After all assigned paperwork is completed by the family, and approved by a Children’s Programs administrative staff member, Friendly House will notify the family using the Brightwheel messaging app to inform them that their enrollment is complete.
- Once a program is full, waitlist will be added to the title of the application, or to the specific days that are converted to waitlist status.
- Once a family is on a waitlist they will be contacted in the order received when space becomes available for their child. A Children’s Program administrative staff member will confirm that the family is still interested in enrolling their child into the program they have applied for.
- If a family is no longer interested in enrolling, we will contact the next family on the waitlist.
- If the family confirms that they are still interested in enrolling into the program that they have applied for a Children’s programs administrative staff member will assign any additional paperwork required for the program.
- Once a family is on a waitlist they will be contacted in the order received when space becomes available for their child. A Children’s Program administrative staff member will confirm that the family is still interested in enrolling their child into the program they have applied for.

Currently Enrolled Families:
- Will be sent a message in Brightwheel to offer them a new application for future programs that are opening for enrollment.
- Families who request an application form will be assigned the application for the following year by a Children’s Programs administrative staff member.

2026 Spring Break Schedule:
Monday, March 23 | Imaginary Worlds & World-Building
Step through the portal into creativity. Campers become world architects as they invent original storybooks, design characters, and transform their ideas into miniature dioramas. Throughout the day, imaginative themes spill into art projects, collaborative challenges, and movement games that bring invented worlds to life. The adventure continues with an afternoon field trip to the NW Library from 2–4 pm, where inspiration, stories, and exploration await.
Tuesday, March 24 | Games Galore
Press start on the ultimate play-packed day. Campers dive into the science and creativity of games by designing their own, testing rules, and playing a wide variety of group favorites throughout the day. Strategy, teamwork, and laughter take center stage. The excitement levels up with a field trip to Bowling at Viking Game Room from 1–3 pm for some friendly competition and classic arcade-style fun.
Wednesday, March 25 | Art Around the World
Pack your creative passport. Campers travel the globe through art, discovering artists, styles, and cultural traditions from around the world. Hands-on projects and art-inspired gym games help kids experience art beyond the page. The highlight of the day is a morning field trip to the Portland Art Museum, arriving at 10:15 am and returning to camp around 2:30 pm.
Thursday, March 26 | Spring Into Nature
Spring comes alive as campers explore the natural world through hands-on crafts, nature investigations, and movement games inspired by plants, animals, and seasonal change. This day blends creativity, science, and active play while celebrating the outdoors. Campers will visit the World Forestry Center from 10:30 am–1 pm to deepen their understanding of forests, ecosystems, and environmental stewardship.
Friday, March 27 | Time Travelers
History meets hands-on discovery. Campers transform into mini archaeologists and anthropologists as they create fossils, investigate the past, and engage in S.T.E.A.M. challenges inspired by ancient worlds and future discoveries. The week wraps up with a special OMSI guest visit featuring their Whale Experience, bringing real-world science and awe-inspiring learning into the afternoon.
Sliding Scale Pricing (scholarships also available):
- Household annual income of $25,000 or less: $45 per day
- Household annual income of $25,001 to $85,000: $60 per day
- Household annual income of $85,001 and up: $75 per day
Scholarships
Full and partial scholarships may be available to qualifying families.
