Portland Parks and Recreation: Community Conversations at Friendly House

September 8 @ 10:45 am - 12:30 pm

Monthly facilitated discussion groups on topics important to older adults. These interactive conversations provide a forum for discussion as well as opportunities to explore new possibilities and resources. This series is presented by Portland Parks & Recreation in partnership with Multnomah County’s Older Adult Behavioral Health Team.

July 14: Giving Up the Keys
Quitting driving can be a huge loss of independence. What other activities have you given up? Come chat about how you’ve adapted to this and other changes in your life.

August 11: Downsizing
It’s important to think about where and how we will live as we age. How to focus on what matters and let go of the things that don’t help us thrive. Explore diverse thoughts about downsizing and what it means to you.

September 8: Resilience/Bouncing Back
How well do you bounce back from adversity? Come talk with others about developing resilience in the face of stress and change.

2nd Tuesdays: July 14, August 11, and September 8 • 10:45am – 12:15pm • Friendly House: 1737 NW 26th Ave • Attend one session or take part in the full series • Free to all!
