Living in Nairobi, Kena and Ziki long for something more. Despite the political rivalry between their families, the girls resist and remain close friends, supporting each other to pursue their dreams in a conservative society. When love blossoms between them, the two girls will be forced to choose between happiness and safety. Though the film was banned by the Kenyan government, it was the first Kenyan film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. This movie screening uses Kinema’s Virtual Cinema website for viewing and chatting before and after the film. Additional information on Kinema’s platform: kinema.com/faq
