Kinema Movie Screening: Instructions for Survival (2021)

This documentary follows Alexander, whose transgender identity forces him into a life of secrecy in his home country of Georgia, and his wife Mari. Desperate to escape their situation and leave the country, Mari becomes a surrogate mother to finance their trip and Alexander’s essential medical care, but their ostensibly pragmatic plan backfires when Alex and Mari develop an emotional bond with the unborn child.
