This January and February join our favorite musicologist, Gordon Neal Herman, on a journey through time and music to learn more about well-loved musicians and their work!

Louis Armstrong was a trumpet player who is considered the first great jazz musician, yet when he died most people knew him as a popular singer. This presentation will trace the career of this genius from his youth in New Orleans to his worldwide fame and how he evolved from a trumpet player to a singer.
