EPS: Dr. Bill Presents “Vincent Van Gogh”

Dutch post-Impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh is among the most famous and influential figures in the history of Western art. In just over a decade, he created over 2,100 artworks including 860 oil paintings dating from the last two years of his life. They include landscapes, still-lifes, portraits, and self-portraits using bold colors and dramatic, impulsive, expressive brushwork that contributed to the foundations of modern art. Despite all of this creative output, van Gogh was a deeply troubled soul, suffering years of mental illness, depression, and abject poverty while creating an impressive, expressive body of work.
